Welcome to Pokemon News, the 119th issue to be exact. We’ve got a few things to discuss the week before PUCLcon, so let’s get right into it.

First and foremost, a new distribution event just went live last night. Trainers with a copy of Sun or Moon can receive a free Shiny Tapu Koko through the Mystery Gift feature in the game! This Tapu Koko starts at level 60, knows the moves Nature’s Madness, Discharge, Agility, and Electro Ball, and is also holding an Electric Seed. No end date has been stated for the distribution, but don’t wait too long to get this shiny new Pokemon.

Speaking of distributions, the special distribution for the new upcoming Pokemon movie has been revealed thanks to our friends at CoroCoro. The distribution will be of Ho-oh and will be available through the use of a code within the issue. This Ho-oh isn’t shiny, but is at level 100, has the ability Pressure, knows the moves Sacred Fire, Brave Bird, Recover and Safeguard, and is holding the Sacred Ash item. Scron, have fun with that.

Looks like Jushrio’s and Thatch have their work cut out for them with deck building.

Last but certainly not least, Pokemon GO’s one year anniversary is fast approaching. To celebrate, a worldwide series of events will soon be live for all players to participate in. By catching different types of Pokemon during the various events, players will gain access to different bonuses that will aid them in the game:

*Water-type Pokémon – XP Bonus
*Grass-type Pokémon – Stardust Bonus
*Electric-type Pokémon – Egg Distance Bonus
*Rock-type Pokémon – Buddy Distance Bonus
*Steel-type Pokémon – Encounter Rate Bonus

This series of events goes in tandem with the main event that is being held in Chicago, Illinois. For our European trainers, a special “Safari Zone” event will be live in various countries, allowing players to catch Pokemon that would normally not be available to be captured. (Watch out for Green Tauros.) The global events kick off July 22nd, during PUCLcon, and last all day. So get your phones and your portable chargers, cuz we have some Pokemon to catch.

And with that, that ends this issue of Pokemon news. Do you plan on participating in the Pokemon GO events next week? Let me know in the comment section below. And as always, I’ll see you guys in the next issue!
