I ain’t letting this slip by with getting reported on timely.
Welcome to a very surprising Pokemon News Breaking News Edition with me, Viger. We have some very important information that was just thrown in our faces as of this writing, but I’m going to get to the good part….
POKEMON Z IS CONFIRMED!
CoroCoro revealed some stunning new information pertaining to the third game in the 6th generation of Pokemon. Like Emerald, Platinum, and Black 2 and White 2 before it, Pokemon Z will focus on the third legendary of the current generation trio, Zygarde. Remember how Zygarde was kinda useless and pointless compared to Xerneas and Yveltal. Well as Doctor Robonik says in Sonic Adventure, “Get a load of this!”
Yes, that behemoth of a Pokemon is THE Zygarde. There is a lot to take in from this reveal about Zygarde, so let’s break it down.
First off, Zygarde appears to undergo 4 different forme changes, one of which is our little green blobby mystery Pokemon who now has a name, but I’ll get to that in a second. The normal Zygarde that was in X and Y is known as “Zygarde 50% Forme”. No wonder Zygarde wasn’t good, he was only half of the Pokemon he could be. (This is the part where you laugh at my super original joke.) Zygarde does regress down further to the “Zygarde 10% Forme” which takes on the appearance of some kind of dog, very Houndoom in appearance. Further down we get to the little green mystery Pokemon who’s name is now confirmed to be “Zygarde Core”, which is described to be the brain of each forme Zygarde takes. (I so called it that this little guy was a little baby Zygarde creature.) But the Core can regress even further to a more flattened forme called simply “Zygarde Cell”. ( Here’s where everyone on the Internet starts making Dragon Ball Z jokes about how this isn’t even Zygarde finally forme.) And the DBZ comparisons reach their peak when you learn of Zygarde’s 100% forme’s name, which is, brace for it, “Zygarde Perfect Forme”. In this forme, Perfect Zygarde changes its species name from “the Order Pokemon” to “the System Pokemon”. He retains his Dragon/Ground typing though, which is kind of a shame.
But wait, there’s more! Further confirmation that Pokemon Z is going to be thing comes from the anime, which will receive a slight title change when the Mega Evolution Act 4 Special airs, which I will remind you features Zygarde and its Core Forme. The title of the anime series from that point on will be called “Pokemon XY & Z”. They’re not even trying to hide it at this point. But from the anime, we also got confirmation about one of Ash’s Pokemon. Turns out Ash’s Frogadeir will evolve into Greninja at some point in the anime, but take a closer look at Greninja….
We can all agree that that isn’t a regular Greninja. It isn’t flashy enough for a Mega Evolution, and Ash isn’t using Greninja for any contests, so what does this mean? What’s with the new look Greninja? Its too early to say what is going on, but at this rate, I know what starter I’m picking when I boot up Pokemon Z.
And that’s about it for now. Perhaps during the upcoming Podcast, more information will be revealed, and you’ll hear it from us! Until then, see you guys later.
