Pokemon News Issue #112

Pokemon News

At long last, welcome back to Pokemon News! Now that Sun and Moon have been out for a while, its time to get back to reporting all news in Pokemon. There is a bit of a back catalog of news reports that have been unveiled since Sun and Moon’s release, but it was never enough for a single issue at the time. Until now. So let’s get right into it!

First up, we have a new fighter to add to the roster of Pokken Tournament, Empoleon.

Already available in arcade versions as we speak, Empoleon not only uses torrents of water to inflict massive damage, but also incorporates various fin slashes and ice based attacks too. Along with Empoleon, the arcade versions have been updated with a Christmas themed event, full of missions that when completed unlock the Latios and Yveltal support pair as well as different winter and festive themed costumes and titles for the player character. Now if we only could get this over to the Wii U.

Not only has Pokken Tournament updated with a new Pokemon, but so has Pokemon GO.

Generation 2 Pokemon are now able to be hatched out of eggs in the game. So far, the only Gen. 2 Pokemon that have been reported to hatch are Pichu, Togepi, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Smoochum, Elekid, and Magby. As to when the rest of Gen. 2 will be implemented is unknown, but as they say, “baby steps”…… *cricket noises*

One last thing has been revealed for the week. A teaser trailer for the next Pokemon movie has bee shown to the world. And it is nothing that anyone had suspected.

Titled “Pokemon I Choose You”, the trailer doesn’t show much, but does show Ash as he begins is first steps towards becoming a Pokemon Master. Many people, myself included, believe that this movie will either be a cinematic version of the first episodes of the anime, or a movie based re-telling of the first season of the anime. Though I will say, there hasn’t been a Pokemon movie for a long time that has peaked my interest so much. Check out the trailer and tell me what you think.

Anyway, that’s it for Pokemon News. It good to be back to doing the news again. And I will see you guys in the next issue.
