Holy Magikrap! It has been a long time! The news has been high and dry these past few weeks. But at long last, I’ve finally got some stuff to talk about, mainly movie news, but it will do. So let’s get to it.

The biggest news this week, and the previous weeks, concerns the newest Pokemon to come out this Summer, “Pokemon the Movie: Everyone’s Story”. We got a new trailer for the upcoming movie, which is confirmed to focus on the second generation following the previous movie “Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You!”. It also showcases a lot of new characters for a movie.

After seeing the trailer, yes, there are a lot of characters to focus in on, not just the blonde girl from the first trailer. According to Serebii, we do have names, a specific trait, and Pokemon that each character either has or “interacts with” in the trailer:

Lisa, the highschooler and Pokémon rookie. (She is the girl from the first trailer and owns an Eevee.)
Kagachi, the braggart that just can’t stop telling tall tales. (He owns a Sudowoodo.)
Trito, the timid researcher that lacks confidence. (He owns a Chansey.)
Hisui, the old eccentric that hates Pokémon. (She is seen being hounded by a Totodile, a Togepi, a Marill, and a Smoochum.)
Largo, the mysterious little girl that hangs around in the forest all by herself. (The trailer doesn’t show any Pokemon with her.)

Serebii also describes the plot of the movie:

Once a year, a “wind festival” is held in Fura City, the city where people live together with the wind. While the ancient belief that the legendary Pokémon Lugia will appear and bring about the blessed wind on the final day of the festival still exists, the people that gather in the city participate in the festival while wrapped in their own thoughts……”

No other information has been revealed for this movie. It is set to debut in Japanese theatres July 3, 2018. No doubt, more information will be revealed as time goes on.

And that is it for Pokemon News this week. What did you think of the new trailer? Let me know in the comments below. And as always, I’ll see you guys in the next issue!
