Welcome to the 34th issue of Pokemon News here on PUCL.

In the news today, a special livestream event will be held later today with a “shocking announcement” regarding Pokemon. This is the “Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokemon Special on NicoNico” that I had mentioned last issue. Many fans have speculated what the announcement would be. Some say it is the Pokemon fighting game that was teased about a year ago, while others say that it is the detective game that was shown using facial recognition programs to make what appeared to be a real life Pikachu, which totally creeped me and everyone else out when we first saw it. We will know later today what the announcement is. I may either leave a comment on this post or make a “Breaking News” post if it is important enough, so stay tuned.

In ORAS news, new gameplay footage of ORAS has been released. Nothing too new or important has been shown, but it does show how battles start, what the evolution scene looks like, and how both the Acro and Mach bikes handle in the game. In board game news, a new edition of Pokemon Monopoly has been announced for release at Gamestop on October 1. Dubbed as the “Kanto Edition”, it is an updated version to the 1999 edition, with new cards, a new board, and new game pieces to play as, including Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, and Jigglypuff. The game is listed as being $45, so save up those poke-dollars, cause this is going to be fun, or frustrating depending on how you play Monopoly.

In game news, Pokemon Art Academy has been given a U.S. release date of October 24. So for those who want to brush up on their Pokemon drawing skills, mark your calendars.

Finally, in Distribution news, the Heracross and Pinsir events, as well as their mega stones distribution event, are all going on right now. Head over to Gamestop to recieve either Heracronite or Pinsirite depending on which version of the game you own, and don’t forget to check your mystery gift feature to recieve either Heracross or Pinsir.

That’s it for Pokemon News. See you guys next Tuesday.
