Welcome to another exciting issue of Pokemon News with your news reporter, Viger.

In Pokken news, more information about the upcoming Pokken Tournament fighting game has been revealed. for starters, three new fighters have been announced: Gardevoir, Pikachu, and Suicune. These new characters have indicated a lot of possibilities for future fighters: non-fighting/physical Pokemon will be fighters, non-bipedal Pokemon can be fighters, and pretty much ANY Pokemon is fair game, and we won’t know who is playable until the full roster is shown. Also revealed in the announcement is a new mechanic for the game in the form of support Pokemon, which can be called upon in battle to assist the player. Four Pokemon have been confirmed to be support Pokemon: Emolga, Fennekin, Snivy, and Lapras. As for gameplay, the game looks like how any other fighting game like Street Fighter and Tekken work, but with a Pokemon twist. And on a side note with the game, the arcade machine it is played on doesn’t use a tradition joystick, but instead uses a wired D-pad, four button controller. Do you smell console release?

In TCG news, the new Pokemon X and Y TCG set, Primal Clash, will be released later this week in the U.S. So for you TCG players, look out for this new set.

In distribution news, more information about the hidden ability Unova starters have been revealed.
