What is the P.F.T.T.?
The P.F.T.T. is P.U.C.L.’s Prepare for Trouble Tournament where we “make it doubles.” The P.F.F.T. is a single elimination tournament that abides by the official Nintendo rules for 2016. These are known as the 2016 Video Game Championship (VGC) rules. This is a way for competitors to try out a new format or practice for the upcoming Pokemon World Championships this year.
What are the rules and restrictions on this tournament?
The rules can be found on the official pokemon website. This year you can only use pokemon in the Alola Dex and megastones are also forbidden as well as the following pokemon:
Item Clause is active preventing any of your pokemon from using the same item.
Every Battle is a Double Battle, where 4 of your 6 pokemon are selected for each match instead of the usual 6.
All pokemon must have the black flower, showing they were born or caught in generation 7.
For this tournament you are not allowed to change your lineup you must use the same team throughout.
Each round will be a week long giving you enough time to contact your opponent.
Each round will be best of 3. Meaning you or your opponent has to win twice to move to the next round.
Report the result of your battle to firstname.lastname@example.org
